Information Request – Operational Instructions
I am writing in relation to your official information request dated 2 March 2020 requesting copies
of operational plans and procedures that were in use on 22 February 2011
.
Your request is refused because you are not entitled to make a request due to section 12 of the
Official Information Act 1982. That section provides that requests may only be made by:
a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident;
a person who is in New Zealand;
a body corporate that is either incorporated in New Zealand, or
a body corporate that has a place of business in New Zealand.
We understand that you do not fall into any of these categories.
However, Fire and Emergency New Zealand is very supportive of people’s research and we are
working to provide you with copies of the requested documents to help you with your research. I
will write again once we have located the relevant information.
