Track upgrades - estimated costs 
I refer to your email on 26 November 2019 in which you requested information on the 
estimated costs of the track upgrades required in each location. 
We are unable to provide the estimated costs of track upgrades in each location, as we 
consider this could prejudice council’s position in current contract negotiations with suppliers. 
In accordance with section 7(2)(i) of the Act this part of your request is refused. 
However, we can provide indicative costs as shown below for various components of the 
track upgrade works. It is important to note that these costs do not cover all activities 
associated with a track upgrade, and costs will depend on location, hygiene requirements 
and materials used.
