St Jerome's Laneway Festival – fol ow up
I refer to your follow up email which we received on 4 September 2019, requesting further information
relating to the St Jerome's Laneway Festival – 27 January 2020. Our response to your questions is as
follows:
The costs associated with the parks, heritage, security and noise control staff together with
the road stopping costs for the council family.
Any costs associated with the park or heritage of the park regarding protection or reinstatement are
passed on to the event permit applicant.
As part of the approved resource consent, monitoring is required. The resource consent holder is
responsible for the cost of monitoring. The cost is charged to the consent holder after the event.
The security costs are the responsibility of the event permit applicant. A contractor is engaged by the
applicant to ensure the security plan is delivered.
The road stopping costs are also the responsibility of the event permit applicant. A contractor is
engaged by the applicant to ensure the approved traffic management plan is delivered.
Do council family staff use job codes as part of the usual best practices for budget purposes.
Some council departments charge their time (e.g. building consents and resource consents). The
event facilitation team from council’s Arts Community and Events department do not record their time
against job codes.
Should you believe Auckland Council has not responded appropriately to your request you have the
right to seek a review of the decision from the Ombudsman.
