We refer to your Official Information Act request, partially transferred by the Ministry of Health to district 
health boards (20/6/2019), where you requested information regarding the number of transgender 
individuals referred to endocrine services. Your questions and HBDHB’s response is provided below: 
 
1.  How many, if any, transgender individuals have been referred to endocrine services in the past five 
years, broken down by year? 
 
The table below indicates the number of people with gender disorder referred to HBDHB’s 
endocrine services for the financial years 2015-2019.
