Official Information Act Request - Endocrine Services 
Under section 14 of the Official Information Act, the Whanganui District Health Board (WDHB) received 
a partial transfer of your request from the Ministry of Health. You requested the following information: 
4. How many,  if any, transgender individuals have been referred to endocrine services in New
Zealand  in the past  five years,  broken down by year?
5. How many,  if any,  transgender individuals have been referred to endocrine services in New
Zealand in the past  five  years,  broken down by DHB?
Whanganui District Health Board's response: 
The  Whanganui  District  Health  Board  does  not  directly  provide  endocrinology  services  as  these  are 
provided by tertiary level providers for our population. Accordingly we do not have volume information 
for transgender individuals who were referred for these services.
