Dear Ministry of Transport,

In 2009, the government amended the Road user Charges Act 1977 and
Road User Charges Regulations 1978 to exempt light electric motor
vehicles from Road User Charges. I would like to request the
following information under the Official Information Act 1982:

* the number of light electric motor vehicles registered in New
Zealand each year since 2007.
* any reports or advice on the impact of the exemption from Road
User Charges on the number of light electric motor vehicles in use
in New Zealand

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
