have not had any response, let alone recognition, that I made a
food poisoning complaint more than 3 months ago now.

to the Auckland Council concerning the number of food poisoning reports in
Auckland. As you will be aware, your request was partially transferred to
the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (which incorporates the former
New Zealand Food Safety Authority) for response.
 
Your request will be considered and an answer provided in accordance with
the Official Information Act 1982.
