Dear Info,

Thanks for confirm it was verbal communication with the official communication being provided to you in the same mail-out that went to the community, we received the message at this same timestamp. 9:46 am 28th Feb; it says a lot about the so called partnership.

Anyhow, we appreciate the prompt response on this OIA and I now consider it closed.
As mentioned previously, we are hopeful council will be transparent and engage in discussions moving forward, rather than hinder and delay the release of info which was very apparent and intentional to date.

Council has a lot to answer for to gain trust in the Ohakune Community.

We certainly hope that council will hold a public meeting to discuss the failings and debrief what they learnt and take ownership for the failures (policies, procedures, standing orders, district rules and policies), behaviour (belittling, false information, rejecting the voice of ratepayers and residents), actions (promising to notify consent then doing a 180, promising consultation and further public meetings but not following through) and what will be done to improve and make sure this doesn't happen again.

Yours sincerely,

Ohakune Ratepayers and Residents' Society Inc

Dear Info,

I write to you to advise that council did not fully disclose the facts and information we requested.

Council did in fact receive an email communication prior to the 9:46 am 28th Feb message you advise us and other members of and we have a copy of this message.

My question is how was this missed from our OIA.

Yours sincerely,

Ohakune Ratepayers and Residents' Society Inc

Kia ora Ohakune Ratepayers and Residents' Society Inc.

In reference to your question dated 9 April 2024 as below, it was an
oversight that the email was not brought to the attention of the responder
at the time of collating the response to the request.

Council can confirm an email was received by Council’s Chief Executive at
9:14AM Wednesday 28 February from Kāinga Ora setting out the key messages
of its decision, a copy of the letter to the community and FAQs.
