Auckland bus plunge
Tony made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
The request was successful.
From: Tony
Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
Under the OIA I request the following:
1. What assessment of the risk that a bus (specifically, a double decker bus) could fall into Auckland harbour after falling off Auckland Harbour bridge (for example, after a strong gust of wind)?
2. What mitigation is in place to manage the risk that a bus could fall into Auckland harbour from Auckland Harbour bridge?
3. What consideration has been given to preventing double decker busses from driving on the outside lane of the Auckland Harbour bridge, to reduce the possibility of them falling into the harbour below?
Many thanks.
Yours faithfully,
Tony
