Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 3 April 2019 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
all documents relating to safety issues around Stan Semenoff Group Ltd (or subsidiaries) and
communications with Hon Shane Jones.
This should include but not be limited to e-mails, correspondence, notes, minutes, phone
conversations, briefings, or in person meetings with NZTA staff or contractors working on
behalf of NZTA. This should again include but not be limited to communications from NZTA to
Shane Jones, communications from Shane Jones to NZTA or communications within NZTA
about any discussions or interactions with Mr Jones on the safety issues around Stan Semenoff
Group.
I can confirm a brief conversation about the Stan Semenoff Logging compliance case took place with
Minister Jones at the conclusion of a meeting on an unrelated issue on Monday 25 March at
approximately 6.30pm.
Minister Jones asked for more information on the Stan Semenoff Logging Compliance Case, which the
NZ Transport Agency provided.
I have enclosed the following document that is within the scope of your request:

No other documents have been created or received by the Transport Agency in relation to Minister
Jones’ comments on Stan Semenoff Logging Ltd.
