Thank you for your request, received on 23 March 2019, for the following information under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
“Could you please provide a breakdown of TEC ACE funding for emergency
management (EM ACE) i.e. total budget, allocations/return of funding by recipient
organisation, and balance (surplus/deficit) for the year ending 31 December 2018.”
I am releasing the total budget for the Emergency Management Adult and Community Education (EM
ACE) funding by recipient organisation, which is $ 2,229,000 for the year ending 31 December 2018. I
am refusing to release the information for allocation of the EM ACE fund under section 18(d) as this
information is publicly on th
e All Grants Provider Funding Publication spreadsheet. While information
regarding the allocation of funds is available this is subject to change as the Tertiary Education
Commission finalizes the 2018 calendar year data.
As the 2018 calendar year data has not been confirmed, we are unable to provide the final
surplus/deficit or funding recovery data. I am therefore refusing this part of your request under
sections 18(e) as the information requested does not currently exist. In line with the Tertiary
Education Commission’s reporting practices, the finalised 2018 calendar year numbers will be
published when they become available.
