I am responding on behalf of Hauora Tairāwhiti (Tairāwhiti DHB) to your OIA
Request of 28 February regarding the rural adjuster fund.
Our response to your request:
For each of the past three years ending June 2016, June 2017 and June 2018 what
was the DHBs Rural Adjuster funding component of the PBFF funding pool?
Hauora Tairāwhiti is not made aware of the individual components of the PBFF
funding pool, and cannot comment on the funding received. We therefore cannot
provide who much was specifically received for the Rural Adjuster.
Does the DHB fund and provide rural hospital services?
If Yes, continue to answer questions 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. If no, go to question 3

Hauora Tairawhiti passes on the District increment to all providers including rural
providers, there is no specific adjustment for rural hospitals.
