YOUR OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT (1982) REQUEST HBDHB REF: OIA2019025
I refer to your Official Information Act request dated 19 February 2019 where you requested
information from Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB). This letter updates our response to
you of the 12 March 2019. Your questions and HBDHB’s response is provided below:
(I) What is the anticipated budget allocation toward the PHO, Health HB Ltd for the period 01
July 2019 to 30 June 2020?
The budget for 2019/20 has not been finalised at this time and is likely to change. The
current budgeted amount for services for 2019/20 is circa $30m.
(ii) Will there be intended funding cuts toward the allocation?
Health Hawke’s Bay Limited and HBDHB have agreed that we will work together on deriving
efficiencies within the 2019/20 funding allocation. The efficiency we are looking to achieve
is around $1m, although this is yet to be confirmed.
