Request for information 2018-372 
I  refer  to  your  request  for  information  dated  12  December  2018,  which  was  received  by  Greater 
Wellington  Regional  Council  (GWRC)  on  12  December  2018.  You  have  requested  the  following 
information: 
“I would like to request the following information about bus and bike workshops run by 
Metlink for the last 2 years: 
1) The dates organised 
2) The dates run 
3) The attendance of each workshop in: 
a) bus drivers, and 
b) cyclists 
4) The location of each workshop. 
GWRC’s response follows. 
GWRC has run five bus bike workshops in the last two years. The organisation of workshops was 
not completed on a single date, but over a series of days in the weeks preceding the workshops. 
Consequently the date workshops were run has been provided, but not a specific date for when these 
were organised. The workshops were as follows: 
  15 February 2017 workshop held at ASB Stadium, Wellington with NZ BUS drivers. 11 
drivers and 1 cyclist attended.  
  19 April 2017 workshop held in Masterton with TRANZIT drivers. 16 drivers and 7 cyclists 
attended.

  14 December 2017 workshop held at ASB Stadium, Wellington with NZ BUS drivers. 7 
drivers and 5 cyclists attended.  
  25 January 2018 workshop held at the Pines, Houghton Bay Wellington with TRANZIT 
drivers. 8 drivers and 3 cyclists attended.  
  30 April 2018 workshop held at ASB Stadium, Wellington with NZ BUS drivers. 11 drivers 
and 2 cyclists attended.  
Facilitators and cycle instructors were also present at all workshops.

an  investigation  and  review  by  the  Ombudsman  under  section  27(3)  of  the  Local  Government 
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
