Thank you for your email of 28 October 2018 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
I request the current notified Taxi Fares for AUCKLAND and Queenstown 
 
I am refusing your request under section 18 (e) of the Act because the document alleged to contain the 
information requested does not exist. As a result of legislative changes from 1 October 2017, there is 
no longer a legal definition of approved taxi organisations or taxis, nor for fares to be notified to the 
Agency, or for fares to be displayed. You can read more about these changes at:

Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
