Thank you for your Official Information Act request on 25th October 2018, requesting information under the 
Official Information Act (1982):  
 
“A copy of the contract from the NZSL Board pertaining the Deaf Group Activities and the employment of a 
coordinator to run a wellbeing group. 
 
Emails between Joanne Witko and the Deaf Task Force Group pertaining the confirmation of these activities 
(as per above).” 
 
We are pleased to provide the following:   
 
  A copy of the Letter of Grant for Capital and Coast District Health Board pertaining to the Deaf Mental 
Health and Wellbeing Group dated 12 June 2018.  
  Emails between Joanne Witko and the Deaf Task Force group pertaining to confirmation of the Deaf 
Mental Health and Wellbeing Group and employment of a coordinator dated: 
o  11th July 2018 and attachment from the email containing the minutes from the NZSL in Health 
Task Force on 27th June 2018; 
o  26th July 2018;  
o  30th July 2018;  
o  Email / calendar invite reminder sent the week prior to 19th September; and   
o  25th October 2018 and attachment from the email containing the minutes from NZSL in Health 
Task Force meeting on 19th September 2018.  
 
Due to personal privacy, we are unable to provide you the contract to employ a coordinator to run the Deaf 
Mental Health and Wellbeing group and the personal email addresses in the attached emails.  
 
If you wish to seek a review of the decision we have made in regards to your OIA you have the right to 
complain to the Office of the Ombudsman using section 28(3) of the Official Information Act.
