Official Information Act Request
Dear Peter
I refer to your request for information received by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) on 19
September 2018, following the response you received for your previous request for information for the
past five years of reassessments initiated by the Chief Executive. Your follow-up request was for the
following information:
“Can I please request that you provide an updated table of the last 10 years of Hazardous Substance
reassessments initiated by the Chief Executive? Could the year an application is formally initiated be the
basis of the table? As Dr Freeth joined the organization in 2015, could this year be separated into
reassessments that were initiated prior to September 2015, and those initiated after September 2015.
Your request has been treated as a request for information under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA). Please find below a table displaying the Hazardous Substances Reassessments initiated by the
Chief Executive over the past 10 calendar years. As no reassessments were initiated in 2015, this year
has not been split into reassessments initiated prior to and post September 2015 as requested.
