Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 – update on progress 
 
I am writing to you further to the NZ Transport Agency’s letter of 14 May 2018 advising you of an 
extension of time for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You have 
requested the following information: 
 
The benefit cost analysis for urban cycleways for the fol owing regions: 
1. Auckland 
2. Hamilton 
3. Wellington 
4. Christchurch 
5. Dunedin 
This applies to all of the TLAs within a region. For example: the whole Wellington region, and 
not just the Wel ington City Council area. 
 
I wish to update you on the progress of the work to prepare your request. 
 
The Transport Agency has identified the information relating to the cost benefit analysis for urban 
cycleways in the Wellington region. We are now consulting with the relevant organisations about the 
release of this information. At the same time, we are continuing to work to identify the information you 
have requested for the other four regions. Once this information has been identified, we will consult 
with the relevant organisations in those regions. 
 
The Transport Agency expects to release to you the information for the Wellington region to you soon, 
with the other regions to be released following the completion of the necessary consultation.
