Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 29 March 2018, requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act), the fol owing information:
…a copy of all the SP11 Walking and cycling facilities evaluations received by NZTA.
You have sought a significant amount of information and we are seeking your assistance in refining
your request so that we can respond to you in a reasonable timeframe. Initial searches have turned up
a large volume of documents, and refining the scope of the request by time or by location could assist
you in finding any relevant information you may be interested in.
If we were to proceed with your request as it stands we would either need to extend the deadline past
the standard 20 working days.
An extension to the deadline is allowed for under section 15A of the Official Information Act 1982 if
locating, collating and copying the information sought within the 20 working day limit would
unreasonably interfere with the operations of the NZTA.
We would appreciate you contacting James Sorensen, Senior Ministerial Advisor, to discuss how your

In order for the New Zealand Transport Agency to respond to your request in a timely manner,
consistent with our obligations under the Act, I ask that you respond to this letter by 12 April 2018.
Depending on your response, I may consider extending the timeframe or refusing the request under
the relevant section of the Act.
I also note that, under Section 15(1)(aa) of the Act, the revised request may be treated as a new request
for the purpose of calculating the time period for response under the Act.
