Official Information Act (1982) request
I write in response to your Official Information Act request, dated 07 March 2018. We responded on
15 March. You replied, noting that you did not feel we addressed two of the questions and asked for a
further response to two questions. You asked that we detail what procedures is Ms Yang able / capable
to perform, regardless of if she is elected to be carrying out any surgeries.
•
What MtF Vaginoplasty procedures is Rita able to perform / wil perform? (Penile Inversion,
Rectosigmoid, peritoneal graft {etc})

What FtM procedures is Rita able to perform / wil perform?
Our Clinical Head for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery services has responded as fol ows:
“Dr Yang is a fully trained Plastic Surgeon, who has undertaken additional postgraduate training in the
full range of transgender procedures under question.”

you are entitled to seek a review of the response by the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the
Official Information Act.
