I refer to your Official Information Act request dated 28 September 2017 received via email in 
which you sought the following information: 
 
1.  Please give me all information held by the NZ Police regarding intercepting or obtaining 
communications involving Greenpeace staff within the last five years. 
 
Police have no records of police intercepting or obtaining private communications relating to 
the Greenpeace organisation within the last five years.  Your request is therefore refused 
under section 18(e) of the Official Information Act as the information requested does not exist 
or cannot be found.   
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not satisfied with 
the way I have responded to your request.
