Thank you for your email of 2 May requesting information on various city centre bus projects. Please find attached the
following;
• Fanshawe Street Bus Priority & Wynyard Quarter Bus Interchange IBC (final)
• Wynyard / Fanshawe interim bus solution map
• East - West Midtown Public Transport Link, working document (which will be revised following the results of the
recently completed public consultation.
Please note the ‘Wynyard Quarter Bus Interchange’ and ‘CBD Bus Infra Requirement Fanshawe St’ are two parts of
the same project (the Wynyard Fanshawe Bus Improvement IBC) and likewise the ‘Learning Quarter - CBD Bus
Infrastructure’ and ‘Wellesley Street - CBD Bus Infrastructure’ are two parts of the Midtown East West Bus
Improvement IBC. The separation was for NZTA funding activity class reasons.
Whilst these documents relate to the transport business case development, the actual delivery of these projects also
involves co-ordination with other initiatives and projects planned by the wider Auckland Council family (on which I note
you have a separate LGOIMA request) so the timing, design and implementation of these bus projects is best
answered through that request. I trust this is acceptable.
We trust the above information has addressed the matters raised however, should you believe that we have not
responded appropriately to your request, you have the right in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA to make a
complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman to seek an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
