Thank you for your request, received on 22 February 2017, for information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act) related to audits performed or commissioned by the TEC since 2015
into tertiary education providers’ use of government funding.
Thank you also for refining your request on 22 March 2017 by asking for the final reports from the
2016 audits of the following ten providers:

I am releasing the information referenced in the attached table. The TEC works with each provider to
address any findings or recommendations identified in the report and requiring action.
In compliance with the Official Information Act, I am withholding some information in the released
documents. The only information withheld is that which may result in the identification of individual
students, in accordance with section 9(2)(a)of the Act.
I am satisfied, in terms of section 9(1) of the Act, that the need to withhold the information referred
to above is not outweighed by other considerations that render it desirable, in the public interest, to
make the information available.
Under section 28(3) of the Act you have the right to complain to the Ombudsman about my decision
to withhold some information.
