Thank you for your email received on 24 December 2016 requesting information under section 12 of 
the Official Information Act (1982). 
 
You requested that Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) provide the total number of hospital 
beds from 2006 to 2016.  The bed volume is the count of physical bed capacity i.e. bed spaces.  The 
count includes beds, rol er beds, lazy-boys etc.  The data does not include patient occupancy volumes.

acute assessment areas for the period 2006-2016 at CCDHB and Mental Health, Addictions, and
