Thank you for contacting Auckland Transport on 19 December 2016 requesting CCTV footage of Maioro 
Street  motorway  on-ramp  intersection,  regarding  a  road  rage/threat  to  life  incident  on  14  December 
2016 between 10:45pm and 10:55pm. 
 
Auckland Transport does not supply CCTV footage directly to members of the public due to reasons of 
privacy.  However, where footage of a specific incident or alleged crime is available, Auckland Transport 
provides footage to New Zealand Police upon receipt of a request from them.  
Notwithstanding the above, a review of the footage showed that at the date and time of the incident, the 
camera was pointing in the wrong direction.  Your request for footage is therefore refused under section 
17(e) of the LGOIMA as the footage requested does not exist. 
Should  you  believe  that  we  have  not responded  appropriately  to  your  request,  you  have  the  right in 
accordance  with  section  27(3)  of  the  Local  Government  Official  Information  and  Meetings  Act  1987 
(LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsmen to seek an investigation and review of 
the decision
