Official Information Act Request 
Thank you for your email of 26 October 2016 requesting the following information: 
 
 
ACC’s 2016 Annual Report stated “ACC accepted 1,933,629 new claims”. 
 
How many of those 1,933,629 new claims were from overseas visitors to New 
Zealand.  
 
Because of the nature of your request, ACC is treating it as a request for information 
under the Official Information Act 1982.  
 
ACC’s  Head  Office  is  closed  until  further  notice  due  to  the  impact  of  the  North 
Canterbury  earthquake.  This  inability  to  access  the  building  has  impacted  on 
Government Services’ capability to gather and assess information for release, and to 
conduct necessary consultation.  
ACC wil  do all it can to respond to your request as soon as possible, and will notify 
you if an extension is required  before the due date.
