ACT REQUEST
I refer to your request for information set out in your email dated 30 July.
I attach a copy of Solid Energy's submission
to the Law Commission.
I have also attached
copies of draft submissions
and internal email communications
relating to the submission.
The mobile phone numbers of Solid Energy staff have been withheld
in accordance
with
section 9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act 1982 - to protect the privacy of natural persons.
Further, Solid Energy does not agree to release a copy of external advice relating to the
submission.
This is withheld in accordance with section 9(2)(h) of the Official Information Act
1982 - to maintain legal professional privilege.
In making the decision to withhold the information set out above Solid Energy has considered
whether withholding
this information
is outweighed
by other considerations
which render it
desirable,
in the public interest, to make the information
available.
Solid Energy does not
believe this to be the case.
Any public interest consideration
I believe is satisfied
by the
release of the information attached.
Under section 28(3) of the Act you are entitled to seek an investigation
and review of the
above decisions by writing to the Ombudsman.
