I've recently met with Elaine Newson from the Seatoun residents Association, Stan Andis from the Strathmore residents association, and this morning talked with Ben Wilde from the Miramar BID.

I heard from them that there is a lot of goodwill to make our $6 million cycleway spend a great success, but people do want to have a really robust conversation and to feel their views are heard.

At our Monday meeting, I would like us to focus on what we will be doing for the consultation, when we can expect various stages to take place. I'd like us to talk to NZTA about the timeframe, as we need to have the time to do this well.


We need to be discussing the potential for positive outcomes for:
Connectivity ( both walking and cycling, easing future traffic congestion)
Community
Business


It would be nice to have some really big Google maps of the area, and maybe four or five potential routes ( without too much detail) to show people.
