Hi David and the team,

There has been a bit of recent public debate about this cycleway with some misinformation from one of my colleagues about its cost.

However, noting that it is the same design as the Island Bay cycleway, I am wondering if there is room for some adjustments in the design.

For example the width Is currently 2.1 m; 1.5 for the cycleway with 0.6 for the buffer zone, but feedback from cyclists on Island Bay has indicated that they could make do with less.

Could the cycleway be made a tad narrower to allow more space in the carriageway? This was an issue in Island Bay.

Also, I would like to be assured that there would be good visibility around driveways, particularly the one going in and out of Rongotai College.

Warm regards,

Sarah Free
