Thank you for your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA)
dated 21 May 2026 in which you requested:
“Please provide the percentage mark for each student in the RESE411: Power Systems
Analysis Test in Trimester 1, 2026.”
On 21 May 2026 you were advised that as the Trimester 1 period is ongoing, final grades
have not been uploaded internally and you were asked to withdraw your request and
resubmit after the Trimester has finished. Following this, you advised you did not wish to
withdraw your request, and clarified as follows:
“I do not wish to withdraw my request at this stage. I understand that RESE411 has
only 1 test during the entire trimester, and that the total number of students in the
course is relatively small.
Before making this request, I carefully considered the likely workload involved. Given
the small class size, I believe the request is reasonable under the OIA, and that there is
a public interest in the information being made available.
To clarify, my request concerns the result of this specific test only, not the final course
grade.
If, after my clarification, the University still considers my original request to involve
substantial workload, please instead provide only the total number of students who
received below 40/100, or below 40%, in this specific test. If the University prefers to
use the grade E, please provide the total number of students who received E in this
specific test, and explain what mark or percentage range E represents.”
