Official Information Act request relating to Parliament protesting funding  
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 26 May 2026. 
You requested: 
 
“I am seeking all documents relating to the protest held in Parliament Grounds in 
February and March 2022, specifically any reports or other documents (including 
communications) that relate to the funding or organisation of the protest.” 
 
Under section 15A of the Act, I have decided to extend the time limits for deciding on your 
request  by  an  additional  10  working  days.  Consequently,  the  extended  due  date  for  our 
response wil  be 8 July 2026. This extension is required because of the consultations needed 
to make a decision on your request. Despite the extension, a response wil  be sent to you as 
soon as possible. 
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under section 
28(3) of the Act.
