Thank you for your email of 13 May 2026 requesting information relating to aerial spraying 
over West Auckland in 2003. 
 
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) will not be able to respond within the timeframe set 
out in the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA)  in accordance with section 15A(1)(a) as your 
request necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the normal 
20-working-day time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of MPI. 
 
MPI will reply to your request by no later than 3 July 2026, earlier if possible. 
 
Should you have any concerns with this extension, I would encourage you to raise these with
