I refer to your official information request received on 13 May 2026 for information regarding 
sodium fluoroacetate. 
The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) does not hold part of the information you have 
requested, specifically:  
Two. Whether Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research or any other accredited 
laboratory tests for 1080 breakdown products including fluorocitrate in water samples 
collected following aerial 1080 operations and if not why not? 
However, we believe Manaaki Whenua–Landcare Research does. Therefore, we have 
transferred this part of your request to Manaaki Whenua–Landcare Research under section 
14(b)(i) of the Official Information Act 1982.
