Re: Official Information Act request regarding feedback and advice on ERO’s school reports I refer to your email to the Education Review Office dated 6 May 2026 requesting the following
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA):
1. Any final evidence reviews, research syntheses, or literature reviews relied upon in developing
the revised reporting framework.
2. Final advice provided to the Minister of Education relating to the revised reporting framework,
including simplified judgements or colour-coded summaries.
3. Any final summaries or thematic analyses of stakeholder or parent feedback relating to the
revised reporting format.
Please find our answer to your questions below.

This part of your request was answered in our previous response to you, which is attached for
reference.
2. Any final summaries or thematic analyses of stakeholder or parent feedback relating to the
revised reporting format.
3. Final advice provided to the Minister of Education relating to the revised reporting framework,
including simplified judgements or colour-coded summaries.
Summaries and analysis of the feedback we received from parents and schools has already been made
available on our website, with feedback from stakeholder groups being made available shortly. As
noted in our previous response to you, all final advice provided to the Minister of Education regarding
this work is also being proact
ively released on our website. I am therefore refusing your request under section 18(d) of the OIA, as the information is or will soon
be publicly available.
