Thank you for your email dated 4 May 2026 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wel ington City Council (the
Council) requesting the following information:
Please provide the list of staff with compensation more than 200,000 NZD per annum.
You can redact the names but please include the below:
A. Reporting to / manager job title the employee reports to
B. Department / group
C. Position job title &
D. Start date
Also please provide the current organization reporting chart for three levels down from CEO -
I am mostly interested on the titles & department.
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act
1987 (LGOIMA).
The Council recently responded to a similar request relating to staff positions with base salaries
exceeding $200,000 per annum. That response is publicly available on our website
here and includes
the following information:
• Roles with base salaries exceeding $200,000 per annum
• The job title and associated department for each role
In relation to the reporting manager for these roles, and your request for “
the current organization
reporting chart for three levels down from CEO - I am mostly interested on the titles & department”,
the Council also responded to a similar request in April this year, by releasing our current
organisational chart. A copy of that response is availabl
e here.
Information relating to individual staff “start dates”, has been withheld under section 7(2)(a) of the
LGOIMA to protect personal privacy.
In making my decision, I have considered the public interest considerations in section 7(1) of the Act
and determined there are no public interests which outweigh the grounds for withholding.
