Thank you for your email of 18 April 2026 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) 
requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing information: 
 
On Friday 17th April 2026, MBIE held an online Science, Innovation & Technology Reforms webinar. 
 
I am requesting copies of all of the questions / comments that attendees asked using the Q&A function of 
Microsoft Teams during that webinar. Please note, this is not limited to the questions that were then put to 
the speakers. 
 
I am not asking for names or other identifying information of the people who asked the questions / 
comments. 
 
Please find attached the list of questions asked in the webinar attached to this response. For ease of 
reference, questions asked during the webinar have been placed at the top of the list. The order in which 
they were asked is shown in bold at the end of each question. 
 
Please note that due to time constraints (approximately 20 minutes al ocated to Q&A), most submitted 
questions could not be put to John Roche and Danette Olsen during the session. 
 
The identifying information of attendees who asked questions has been removed removed as it is deemed 
out of scope of your request.
