Thank you for your email of 7 April 2026 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wel ington City Council (the
Council) requesting information regarding District Licensing Committee Member
. Your request has
been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).
Please find my response below.
1. May I ask how you cal ed for public nomination and on what platform you have call for public
nominations e.g. govt.jobs website.
The positions were advertised on the Council website, seek.co.nz and via placing an advertisement in
the law society gazette.
2. A copy of your ad and pay rate as well.
Please find attached, as
Appendix 01 to my response, a copy of the advertisement. This is being
released to you in full. The pay rate is the national tribunal rate of $51.00 per hour, plus an additional
retention rate approved by the Council of $51.00 per hour.
3. Also, how many applications you have received for each of the role from the public and how
many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women
etc for your role.
A total of 26 applications were received from the public. The Council did not receive any nominations
from other nominating agencies.
4. How many you have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed.
The Council shortlisted four applicants and wil be interviewing those four applicants.
5. Further, How many vacancies are you looking to fil for this round.
There are two vacancies that require fil ing.
6. Can you also share a previous appointment letter for District Licensing Committee Member,
feel free to remove any personal details.

Appendix 02 to my response, a copy of the Contract for Services which is
given to successful candidates, after an offer of appointment is given verbally. This is being provided
to you in full.
