Tēnā koe Leah,
Your request for official information, reference: HNZ00202208
Thank you for your email on 31 March 2026, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for the
following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA):
Please list all individuals, agencies, community groups and health organisations
responsible for managing covid vaccine centres/clinics between 2020 and today's date.
Please include the name of the centre, the location, the dates it was open and the total
number of vaccines each site administered.
Response
COVID-19 vaccinations could be given at dedicated vaccination centres as well as at pharmacies,
community clinics, general practice clinics, hospitals, and aged care facilities. Vaccinations at all of
these sites were managed by district health boards until July 2022, and on a regional level
following the establishment of Health NZ in July 2022.
Appendix 1 shows the name of each location where COVID-19 vaccines were administered, the
geographic location, the total number of vaccines administered, and the date that the first vaccine
was administered at that site. Health NZ does not hold information about the date that each site
formally opened. However, the date that the first vaccine was given at each site indicates when it
became operational.
