In fact council should proactively release these type of aggregate figures without having to rely
on OIA.”
Greater Wellington’s response follows:
Your request has been assessed under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (the Act).
Please see below the Bus Operating expenditure for financial years 2021 – 2025:
• FY25/26 year to date - $114,106,480.60 (As at March 2026)
• FY24/25 - $142,729,252.12
• FY23/24 - $125,568,556.93
• FY22/23 - $112,320,705.07
• FY21/22 - $107,197,417.58
• FY20/21 - $93,148,194.87
