Dear Mohammed,
Official Information Act request: Follow-up to PMO OIA 756-2025-26 – planning for
meeting
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 12 April 2026.
You requested:
“[……] I wil make a separate request regarding the prior planning of the meeting with
the zionist lobby.”
On 1 May 2026 I advised you that the time frame for responding to your request was
extended under section 15A of the Act by 7 working days because consultations were
needed before a decision could be made. Fol owing this extension, I am now in a position to
respond.

Information to be withheld
I have decided to withhold the attachment from Item [2] titled
‘Event Brief – Memorial Service
and Chanukah lighting’ in full under section 9(2)(g)(i) of the Act, to maintain the effective
conduct of public affairs through the free and frank expression of opinion.
In making my decision, I have considered the public interest considerations in section 9(1) of
the Act. No public interest has been identified that would be sufficient to outweigh the
reasons for withholding that information.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
