On 11 March 2026 the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) received a request under 
the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) for the following information:
Request copies of contractual provisions within agreements between the New Zealand Government 
and Pfizer relating to:
• indemnity provisions
• liability limitation clauses
• confidentiality provisions.
If the full agreements cannot be released, I request the specific sections containing these provisions.
If information is withheld, please provide the statutory grounds relied upon and release any 
reasonably severable information.
This letter is to notify you that MBIE is transferring the request to the Ministry of Health and Pharmac  in 
accordance with section 14(b)(ii) of the Act, which allows me to transfer any request that is believed to be 
more closely aligned with the functions of another department, organisation or Minister of the Crown.
