I refer to your email dated 28 February 2026, requesting the following under the Of icial Information 
Act 1982 (the Act): 
  
“The number of staff in public relations or communications roles at the Ministry of Transport for 
2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021” 
 
On 4 March 2026, you submitted a further request for the following: 
 
“I would like to request the number of staff in public relations or communications roles at the 
Ministry of Transport for 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. 
I would also like to request the number of contractors in public relations or communications 
roles at the Ministry of Transport for 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021.” 
 
Please treat this response as a reply to both requests you submit ed to the Ministry of Transport 
(the Ministry). 
 
I can advise that the number of staf  in public relations or communications roles at the Ministry has 
been reported on in the Ministry’s Annual Review responses and is publicly available on 
Parliament’s website. 
 
Please see page 49 of the Standard Questionnaire for the financial years between 2019 and 2024 
here. 
 
I have also provided this information in the table below, along with the numbers for the 2024/25 
financial year, and the 2025/26 financial year to 1 March 2026.
