Official Information Act 1982 (OIA):
I would like to request the number of staff in public relations or communications
roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Travel for 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022,
and 2021.
On 4 March 2026, you contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (the Ministry)
to rescope your request to be for:
1. I would like to request the number of staff in public relations or communications
roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for:
a. 2026
b. 2025
c. 2024
d. 2023
e. 2022, and
f. 2021.
2. I would also like to request the number of contractors in public relations or
communications roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for:
a. 2026
b. 2025
c. 2024
d. 2023
e. 2022, and
f. 2021.
Your request has been numbered for administrative convenience.
On 1 April 2026, the timeframes for responding to your request were extended by an
additional 10 working days because responding to your request necessitated the review
of a large quantity of information (section 15A(1)(a) of the OIA refers).

the number of full time equivalent (FTE) staff employed in public relations or
