Thank you for your request made via email dated 12 February 2026, in which you requested
the following:
“May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call
for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. A copy of your ad as well. Also, how
many applications you have received for each of the role from the public and how
many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of
women etc for your role. How many you have shortlisted and how many you have
interviewed. Also, can I request to view the appointment letter if there is one sent to
the appointee. I am happy for you to remove all the personal information. How many
vacancy at this round you are looking to fill?”
REA response
We are looking to fill two lawyer vacancies on the CAC Panel. We have advertised on our
own REA website, Seek, jobs.govt.nz, www.rea.govt.nz, through the Government Legal
Network and Law Society, as well as via a post on LinkedIn. A copy of the advertisement
is enclosed.
We received 16 Expressions of Interest, and as at the date of this letter, we have not started
shortlisting and no interviews have taken place. We have not received any Expressions of
Interest from other nominating agencies (including TPK or Ministry for Women).
No appointments have been made yet.
