Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the Ministry of 
Health – Manatū Hauora (the Ministry) on 7 March 2026, for further information regarding the 
Cosmic Vape store in Hornby Mall, Christchurch. You requested:  
 
For each year (i.e. 2022, 2023, 2024), please confirm whether at least 70% of sales from 
this store was from the sale of vaping products. 
 
According to the annual sales return data submitted by Cosmic Corner Limited, the store trading 
as Cosmic Hornby did not meet the 70% sales threshold for the sale of vaping products in the 
2022 calendar year. For subsequent calendar years (2023 and 2024) Cosmic Hornby met the 
70% sales threshold.
