Thank you for your email of 12 November 2015 requesting under the Official Information Act 1982, the 
following information:

Performance Clause C5.7 of the Building Code states the following: 
• 
Buildings must be provided with means of giving clear information to enable firefighters to: 
o  establish the general location of the fire,  
o  identify the fire safety systems available in the building, and 
o  establish the presence of hazardous substances or process in the building. 
• 
Please provide a copy of all New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) operational documents (i.e. Standard 
Operating Procedures, Training Manuals/Procedures and Size-up Procedures, Controlled Entry and 
Safety Procedures etc) provided by the NZFS Commission to the Ministry of Business, Employment 
and Innovation (MBIE), that MBIE relied upon to justify Performance Clause C5.6(a) being included 
in the Building Code.

Please provide a copy of all New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) operational documents (i.e. Standard
