I refer to your request dated January 22, 2026, under the Local Government Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) regarding staff wages and salaries, employee numbers and
consultant expenditure for 2025.
We require clarification or amendment of your request to enable Council to respond under
the LGOIMA 1987 Act.
Clarification Required
As written, Question 3 of your request asks, “What was the total payout for all consultants
employed by the GDC for the period 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, and what
projects were they employed on?”
The phrase “what projects were they employed on” is quite broad and could refer to a wide
range of activities — for example, consultants engaged in physical works, or those providing
professional or advisory services such as auditing or technical reporting.
To ensure we interpret your request correctly, could you please clarify what you mean by
“projects”? and/or advise if there are specific projects that you would like this information for.
For instance, are you referring to specific infrastructure or capital works projects, or are you
seeking information on all consultancy engagements during this period?
