Thank you for your email of 11 November 2015 requesting under the Official Information Act 1982, the 
following information: 
• 
"Access for fire service vehicles in accordance with clause C5.3 must be provided to more than 1 
side  of  firecells  greater  than  5,000  m2  in  floor  area  that  are  not  protected  by  an  automatic  fire 
sprinkler system." 
• 
Please provide a copy of all New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) operational documents (i.e. Standard 
Operating  Procedures,  Training  Manuals,  Equipment  Schedules  and  Limitations,  Vehicle 
Specifications,  Controlled  Entry  and  Safety  Procedures  etc)  provided  by  the  NZFS  Commission  to 
the  Ministry  of  Business,  Employment  and  Innovation,  which  clearly  demonstrates  that  for  a 
firecell  greater  than  5000m2,  the  NZFS  requires  vehicular  access  to  more  than  one  side  of  a 
firecell.
