Hello again – 9(2)(h)
I’ve discussed with Conor and we have shortened the draft response:
We received complaints from Police and from members of the public about strikers’ actions on the road at two
RELEASED
pickets.  The complaints were about dangerous behaviour in traffic.
We monitored CTV cameras at the two places in question during the one-hour strike. On all occasions there was a
Police presence in the room, and we observed no concerns.

Hi Megan
I agree with Jackie’s statement below
There were two locations that we observed which were
1. Cavendish drive and Lambie Drive Counties Manukau
2. Pitt street and K Road
Because we had received complaints from the public or through Police about the behaviour of our
firefighters and dangerous interactions between them and cars
On all occasions there were no concerns that we observed
On the day of the Silverdale incident we did try and look at Silverdale but there were no cameras
available
On one of the occasions we did also look at Northcross when there was intel that there was going
to be a larger contingent gathering after the Silverdale incident
All occasions including ATOC I have had Police in the room
All the cameras were in Public spaces
The cameras have been very valuable when incidents have occurred
Other than the 2nd January the cameras have been operated by AEM

Hi Vaughan
Please could you quickly email Megan with the circumstances of the CTV monitoring of pickets –
and the locations of those pickets ie were they at our stations?
Here are some words that might help if they are accurate.
