Tēnā koe Chris,
Request for Information – Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act (LGOIMA) 1987
Thank you for your two emails dated 8 January 2026 regarding information
about Hutt City pools. Your first email requested financial information for each
pool, and your second email that day requested al reports, papers, emails and
any other official information relating to pool budgets, costs and revenues since 1
July 2025.
We are writing to advise that we are extending the time limit for making a
decision on your request. The expanded scope requires a search through a large
quantity of information and the work involved in meeting the original timeframe
would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the Council. This extension is
made under section 14(1)(a) of the LGOIMA. The decision on your request wil now
be provided to you on or before
2 March 2026.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of the
decision to extend the timeframe to respond. Information about how to make a
complaint is available at:
Office of the Ombudsman - Complaints, or freephone
0800 802 602.
